Wayfinding Financial is committed to protecting the confidentiality of your personal information. Wayfinding Financial, hereinafter referred to as (“Wayfinding”) does not rent, sell, or trade your personal information to anyone. The following is a description of how we protect your information and how we may use the information and the circumstances in which we would need to disclose information to others.
The Wayfinding Privacy Policy follows and is applicable to current and former clients. Throughout the policy, Wayfinding refers to information that personally identifies clients or client accounts as “personal information.” Wayfinding collects personal information in the normal course of business to better manage and serve Clients.
- Wayfinding collects Client information (that they provide Wayfinding) when they open an Account. The information Wayfinding collects may include the Client’s name, address, phone number, e‐mail address, social security number, and information about the Client’s interests, investments, financial goals and investment experience.
- Once a client opens an Account with Wayfinding, personal information is collected and maintained about the Client’s transaction history, positions, and account balances. Wayfinding may include the Client’s name and other data in internal databases and lists that reflect the client’s activities with Wayfinding.
We do not share any personal information about our clients or former clients with anyone outside Wayfinding without your direction or approval, except as described below. We require that when we share information within the scope of this agreement, those with whom we share such information keep that information strictly confidential, except where disclosure is permitted or required by law. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Those instances include:
- Disclosures to companies that perform services on our behalf to assist us in providing our services to you, including our technology partners.
- Disclosures to companies are necessary for us to manage and administer your account (such as providing account information to brokers and custodians).
- Disclosures that we have determined to be permitted or required by law or as required by applicable or regulatory authorities with jurisdiction over Wayfinding.
- In circumstances where Wayfinding reasonably believes it is necessary to investigate, prevent or react to illegal activities, suspected fraud, threatening situations, or violations of our terms and conditions of use. In every case, disclosures are limited to the data determined to be necessary under the circumstances. We have not and will not sell any personal information about our clients or former clients.
Wayfinding continues to evaluate our efforts to protect personal information and make every effort to keep personal information accurate and up to date. If Clients identify any inaccuracy in their personal information, or need to make a change to that information, they should contact Wayfinding. If, at any time in the future, it is necessary to disclose our Clients’ personal information in a way that is inconsistent with this policy, advance notice of the proposed change will be provided to Client, so they can opt out of such information sharing.
