Trent O’Neal

As Partner and designated Chief Compliance Officer at Wayfinding Financial, Trent is responsible for much of the innovation behind our team’s investment strategy and service-oriented approach. Since joining the Practice in 2009, Trent has dedicated himself to monitoring client portfolios and assisting in the development of appropriate client-specific strategies and solutions. Trent understands the anxieties that come with financial planning and focuses on educating clients, setting their mind at ease. Desiring to guide clients, he became a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) in 2016.

A Graduate of the University of Nevada, Trent has a degree in Finance and Economics. Outside of the office, Trent enjoys spending time with his wife, Kaylee and daughter Olivia. He also enjoys golf and is an avid Do-It-Yourselfer, working on many home projects.

Cathie Arthurs

Cathie has been in the financial industry for over 20 years and joined Wayfinding Financial in 2021. Cathie began her career in banking and in 2005 she transitioned over to the wealth management side where she specializes in family financial planning, investor education and investment management. Her passion for helping people is clear as every family is unique with different needs, Cathie will work with them and provide a plan for financial security. Cathie has also volunteered in the local high schools and college to educate about money and wealth management.

Cathie is born and raised in Lynnwood and has one son. She enjoys golf, travel and spending time with her family. She also has family in Arizona and visits as often as she can.

Michelle Sterling

Joining Wayfinding Financial in 2021, Michelle brought extensive client service experience. Prior, Michelle managed veterinary hospitals in the greater Seattle area where she enjoyed supporting her team and educating clients. Michelle is looking forward to lending her expertise to the office, learning about the industry, and building relationships with clients.

Michelle graduated from Washington State University, Go Cougs! She enjoys going back to Pullman whenever she has the opportunity. Outside of the office, Michelle enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring the PNW and paddle boarding. Michelle has a 7-year-old Miniature Australian Shepherd, Bentley; the two love to compete in AKC Agility competitions.

With over 25 years of experience in customer service across Title & Escrow, Banking, and Investment fields, Amy brings exceptional dedication and expertise to her work. Her true passion lies in connecting with clients on a deeper level, allowing her to provide tailored, efficient solutions to their needs.

Amy’s commitment to professional growth led her to earn the Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional™ (FPQP) designation, deepening her understanding of investments and financial services. 

Amy maintains an active presence in her community, volunteering regularly at her church, local food banks, and various charitable organizations.  Family holds a special place in her heart, and she treasures every moment spent with loved ones, especially her three beloved grandchildren.

Shanice has spent the last 10 years building strong client relationships, optimizing operational processes, and, most recently, ensuring regulatory compliance within the wealth management industry. Throughout her career, she has come to appreciate the value of personal connections and their impact on achieving outstanding outcomes. Strong client and employee experiences are the foundation of any successful business, and she is dedicated to creating environments where both thrive.

Outside professional endeavors, Shanice is a active volunteer serving as a Volunteer Advocate for the Kirkland Police Department’s Domestic Abuse Response Team. She is passionate about positively impacting her community and fostering growth and development.

Donald O’Neal

CFP®

Don specializes in formulating investment strategies that focus on his clients’ short and long-term financial objectives. He began his career as a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch in 1978, where he would later form a partnership with Teresa—prior to establishing their own practice. A Northwest native, Don graduated from the University of Washington before embarking on his profession in the financial industry and in 2002 became a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®).
When he has the chance, Don enjoys spending time on the green, painting canvas rugs, and spending time with his family. In 1976, Don married his high school sweetheart, Terri. Together they raised three children and are proud grandparents. Both are involved in many community activities. In fact, Don spends his Friday nights under the light: officiating high school football.

Teresa Brokaw

CFP® / CRPC®

Teresa’s focus is on assisting women during various transitional periods in their lives. Her expertise in tax and estate issues—including long-term care and annuities—provides a full picture financial plan for her clients. In 1999, she became a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and in 2009, a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®). Teresa’s specializations provide a unique service to people in all stages of life. Teresa serves her community as a board member of the Providence Hospice and Home Care Foundation of Snohomish County.
Growing up on a farm, Teresa developed a love for gardening at a young age. In her spare time, Teresa enjoys various crafts and coastal retreats with her family. She and her husband, Dale, have raised three daughters and spend much of their free time with their four grandchildren.
